Arab Tennis Championship wraps Up in Tunisia

TUNIS, Aug 25: The Arab Tennis Championship for juniors and junior girls, hosted by Tunisia from August 16 to 24, concluded with wide and unprecedented participation from Arab teams. Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber, Chairman of the Arab Tennis Federation, crowned the winners during the closing ceremony at the Tennis Club in Tunis, attended by Tunisian Minister of Youth and Sports Kamal Daqish, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Tunisia Mansour Al-Omar, Saudi Ambassador to Tunisia Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Saqr, and various diplomatic and sports figures.

Egypt secured first place in the under-14 categories for both juniors and junior girls. Syria claimed the title in the under-12 junior’s category, while Tunisia took first place in the under-12 junior girl’s category. To honor all participants, the President of the Arab Tennis Federation awarded commemorative medals bearing the championship's name.

Sheikh Al-Jaber expressed his delight with the tournament's success, praising the efforts of the Tunisian Tennis Federation, led by Dr. Salma Al-Moulahi, Chairwoman of the Federation and Vice President of the International Tennis Federation, for ensuring the event's success. He noted that the tournament featured exciting competition and impressive performances from all ten participating teams, highlighting the progress of Arab tennis, particularly in the development of younger age groups.

Sheikh Al-Jaber extended his sincere thanks to Tunisia for hosting the event and commended the excellent organization by the Tunisian Tennis Federation. He also expressed his appreciation to the Tunisian Minister of Sports for attending the closing ceremony and thanked Kuwaiti Ambassador Mansour Al-Omar for his support and involvement in this Arab sporting event.
