Ramadan wins Al-Arabi Cup

KUWAIT CITY, April 10: Bedah Al-Athab’s Samil Al-Khair Horse ridden by Al-Ruwaished won Mubarak Al-Kabeer open trophy for covering a distance of 1,800 meters within a record time of 1 hour, 50 minutes and three seconds in a stiff contest with Tawafeq Horse from Al-Da’iya Stable ridden by Tawfiq, which came second followed by Meshal Nayef Al-Daihani’s Murheb Horse ridden by Muwahad in third place.

Chairman of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Club Talal Al-Nesf and Secretary General of the Hunting and Equestrian Club Sheikh Sabah Al-Fahad presented the trophy to the victorious stable, congratulating them for creating a new record.

Al-Nesf was delighted by the success of the competition, thanking the Hunting and Equestrian Club under Sheikh Dhari Al-Fahad and Sheikh Sabah Al-Fahad for purposeful cooperation.

He later presented a plaque to Sheikh Sabah Al-Fahad to appreciate his efforts in promoting the sport of the forefathers.

Meanwhile, Meshal Nayef Al-Daihani’s Mehjah Horse handled by Zarati won another trophy from Mubarak Al-Kabeer Club for covering 1,400 meters within 1 hour, 23 minutes and 3 seconds. It was followed by Tharya Horse ridden by Al-Ruwaished from Abu Sheiba Stable in second place and Tabarak Horse handled by Ali from Al-Da’iya Stable in third. Al-Nesf presented the trophies to the winners with congratulatory messages.

In another contest for Al-Jawad Al-Arabi Center’s Cup, Ramadan Horse ridden by Morgan from Nasser Al-Hatlani Stable excelled over other contestants in the 1,200 meters race, completing it in 1 hour, 23 minutes and 4 seconds. Nasr Al-Haifi’s Harf Horse came second and Faraj Al-Hubaida Horse from Sa’ad Al-Hubaida Stable came third. Alaa Al-Roumi presented trophies to the winners in that category.

The event was interesting and successful with the presence of a large audience led by the spiritual father of Jahra Equestrian Club and legend of the golden era Mohammad Hayef Al-Hajraf. Other notable dignitaries at the event included Sheikh Sabah Al-Fahad, Talal Al-Nesf, Advisor Tareq Al-Nesf and Mubarak Al-Kabeer Club family. Others were Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Arab Horse Center Alaa Al-Roumi and Chairman of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Equestrian Club Mohammad Al-Khodher among others.
