Al-Habtoor receives Lieutenant Governor of Kansas

Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group welcomed Jeffrey W. Colyer, M.D., M.Phil., the Lieutenant Governor of Kansas at his office on Al Wasl Road on Wednesday, Feb 10, 2016. Dr Colyer briefed the chairman on the latest advancements made in the field of stem cell research and reconstructive surgery.

A highly regarded specialist in plastic surgery, Dr Colyer served as White House Fellow to President Ronald Reagan and President George H. W. Bush and completed several missions with the International Medical Corps in war zones of Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, and Cambodia.

They also talked about the upcoming US presidential election and business activities in the State of Kansas, including agriculture, manufacturing, aviation, healthcare, and engineering. Al Habtoor said, “The United States is a reservoir of leadership. The country needs a wise leader with good background, just as we have seen Abraham Lincoln and George Washington in US history.”

Dr. Colyer extended an invitation to the chairman to come visit his state and gifted him with a thousand year-old meteorite originating from Kansas and symbolising the state’s motto, “Through hardships to the stars”. The chairman gifted the Lieutenant Governor a copy of his bestselling autobiography.
