Al-Faris gets tough on violations

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 23: Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Dr. Rana Al-Faris, in coordination with the Director General of Kuwait Municipality, Engr. Ahmed Al-Manfouhi, issued 4 ministerial decisions to form fact-finding committees on violations of regulations related to the work of the Kuwait Municipality, reports Al-Rai daily. Al-Faris has formed fact-finding committees regarding violations of the regulation of construction work, the regulation of advertisements, and the regulation of licenses concerning encroachments of public roads, squares, sidewalks and public squares, which also include mobile groceries.

These committees will be responsible for reviewing the texts of ministerial decisions related to these regulations and circulars related to each activity and examining whether there are deficiencies in these decisions and indicating how to address them, in addition to investigating any of the deficiencies that the committee may discover during the performance of its tasks.

The Public Relations Department of the Kuwait Municipality announced that the Public Cleanliness and Road Works Department in the Jahra Municipality branch during a field tour in the governorate’s removed everything that obstructs the road and distorts the public view which comes within a framework to improve the level of cleanliness, reports Al-Rai daily.

In this context, the Director of the Department of Public Cleanliness and Road Works in Jahra Governorate, Fahad Al- Qarifa, confirmed that the inspection tours aim to raise the level of hygiene in all areas of the governorate. He added, 12 vehicles which were left in open areas have been lifted by the Municipality. He added, the supervisors periodically follow up the cleaning work in all areas by removing everything that obstructs the road and distorts the general view. He stressed that the supervisory team will not be lenient in taking legal measures against violators of the public cleanliness and road works regulation
