Actress held for failing to pay KD 26,000 loan

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 3: Personnel from the Sentences Enforcement Department have arrested an unidentified actress who had been sentenced in absentia for failing to pay KD 26,000 loan to a local bank, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily added, the actress was picked up in Hawalli after she left a well-known restaurant in Hawalli. She has been handed over to the concerned authority.

Contractor in betrayal of trust: Police are looking for an unidentified Syrian contractor for betrayal of trust, reports Al-Rai daily. According to the Kuwaiti complainant he paid the man in advance to buy iron rods for his building under construction and the man escaped with the money. The Kuwaiti is also accusing the man of stealing the iron rods from the construction site.
