KUWAIT, Feb 28: A private plane of Kuwait Airways evacuated dozens of Kuwaiti citizens who intended to leave the Italian capital, Rome, with the assistance of the Kuwait embassy in Italy, against the outbreak of Coronavirus (Covid 19).

The Chargé d’Affaires, Sami Al-Zamanan, told Kuwait News Agency, during his supervision of the travel procedures for citizens at Rome International Airport, that the special flight by Kuwait Airways took off on time with 53 Kuwaitis who wished to leave when the embassy had contacted and hence facilitated their return.

Al-Zamanan indicated that the embassy is in continuous contact with the rest of the Kuwaitis who did not leave on the flight today but are preparing for their travel on the upcoming Kuwait airline flights scheduled starting from Sunday, noting that a first plane evacuated more than 100 citizens from Milan on Wednesday.

Many countries of the world suspended their flights to and from Italy against the background of the emergence of many cases of infection with the new Corona virus, which reached 650 infections and claimed 17 lives as of this morning.
