Cop acquitted of taking bribes – Cross-dresser held ; Girls harassed

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 24: The Detention Renewal Judge acquitted a police officer who was accused of collecting bribe from a group of individuals, who were released on bail worth KD 10,000, for facilitating their release. During the court session, the defendant denied the accusation of bribery against him. His lawyer requested the court for his release under any bail value. Ministry of Interior, after accusing the suspect of bribery, had handed over to the Public Prosecution for necessary legal and disciplinary measures against him. The ministry stressed in a statement that this is an individual case and that the ministry is keen on applying the law on all without any exception.

Cross-dresser held Girls harassed

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 24: A cross-dresser and his friend were arrested for harassing girls inside a famous mall in Al- Rai area. According to security sources, Farwaniya securitymen were patrolling inside the mall based on instructions from Farwaniya Security Director Brigadier Saleh Al-Enezi. They noticed a woman holding hands with a man dressed in a ‘dishdasha’ and they were harassing girls. Securitymen approached them and checked their civil IDs to discover the woman was actually a man dressed in female attire. Both suspects were arrested and referred to Andalous Police Station for necessary legal action against them. Security sources affirmed that securitymen are being distributed to all commercial complexes and malls in order to prevent any crimes that could occur in such locations.

Bullets fired: Seven bullets hit the ceiling of a health club inside a famous hotel in Jahra Governorate. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information from the management of the health club about the bullets, Jahra Security Director Major General Ali Mathi and Jahra securitymen rushed to the location and examined the place to find seven bullets. They referred the bullets to the General Department for Criminal Evidences for running a ballistics test on the bullets. Investigations have been launched to find and arrest the unknown suspect who fired the gunshots.
