Work ongoing to cut bureaucracy in Hawally Passport Department

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 31: A new policy is in place at Hawally Passport Department to eradicate bureaucracy, reduce the documentation cycle, speed up the completion of transactions, and check the required documents without complacency, reports Al- Qabas daily.

A recent tour through the corridors of the department revealed huge congestion of residents and owners of companies to complete their transactions related to residency and visit visas and other matters.

Nevertheless, the entry area of the building is organized with the presence of specialized staff to receive the visitors and guide them to various departments.

A security source said, “The department is experiencing huge congestion, but transactions are being completed quickly and accurately without any delay”. He revealed that the department receives more than 1,000 visitors per day, adding that the relevant officials of the department have been working on monitoring the positive and negative aspects of the work process during the official working hours and sending reports to the senior officials.

The source said the director of the department has given strict instructions to all staff members to provide special service to people with special needs and the elderly by giving them priority and expediting the completion of their transactions without any complications or bureaucracy.
