‘Widespread campaign to dismantle violations’ – Jahra targeted

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 3: The Director General of the Kuwait Municipality, Eng Ahmad Al-Manfouhi said he will lead a comprehensive and large campaign on Sunday, Aug 14 in Jahra and surrounding areas to dismantle all violations and abuses established on state property, reports Al-Qabas daily. Al-Manfouhi revealed several concerned departments will participate in the campaign to clean the land of violations, which will include camps and the exploitation of state lands and everything that distorts the civilized landscape.

The Director-General of the Kuwait Municipality Eng Ahmad Al-Manfouhi, while presiding over the meeting of the Coordination Committee.

Al-Manfouhi said the relevant departments in the municipalities of all governorates will, starting today, will conduct a comprehensive campaign including basements in investment buildings which violate standing rules and regulations, indicating that the Municipality will continue its campaigns against violations of all kinds.

On the other hand, and in response to a citizen’s complaint on the communication sites, Al-Manfouhi said the team will look into all complaints received by the Municipality. The supervisory authority in the Jahra Governorate Municipality branch will immediately remove the encroachments established to reserve sites on state property in the residential city of Al-Mutla’a, take legal measures against violators and deal immediately with reports and complaints of citizens and residents about any violation or abuse and not to be lax or negligent in taking the necessary measures by the teams Municipal. After inspecting the complaint’s website, the supervisory team issued five reports of street vendor violations, in addition to removing and raising 114 cubic meters of bricks over a 4 kilometer stretch and removing 9 Kirby groceries that are fixed and built on state property in the housing project.
