Wanted Pakistani held; Porn stuff seized

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14: Personnel from the Airport Security Department have arrested a Pakistani who was wanted by law and had been sentenced in absentia in connection with fraud and swindling in a case filed against him by his boss, reports Al-Shahed daily.

The Pakistani was picked up upon arrival at the Kuwait International Airport. He was in transit from a GCC country. The suspect has been referred to the concerned authorities

Porn stuff seized: Director of the Jahra Security Directorate Major- General Ali Mahdi has issued an order to refer a 40-year-old Kuwaiti to the Criminal Investigations Department for possessing and ‘distributing’ porno material to customers, reports Al-Rai daily. During initial investigations police discovered the banned contraband was smuggled into the country from an unidentified European country. The man was arrested at a checkpoint in Rahiya.

Indian arrested: Personnel from the Sharq Police Station have arrested a 50-year-old Indian following a case filed against him by his sponsor, reports Al-Shahed daily. The suspect has been referred to Police Station of the area. Meanwhile, the Doha customs officers have foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantities of foodstuffs into the country, reports Al- Shahed daily. The daily added, the foodstuff came from Iran and the bill of lading mentioned the foodstuffs as animal fodder.
