Wanted man held driving drunk – Flirt Egyptian ‘mandoub’ nabbed

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: Police arrested a Kuwaiti for driving under the influence of alcohol and he is wanted by law for involvement in seven crimes, reports Al-Rai daily. The citizen was spotted by a police patrol on duty in Fintas while driving recklessly and ignored the instruction to stop but the officers forced him to do so.

Police found out the citizen was drunk and he had in his possession a bottle of alcohol and a knife. When the officers checked his records, they discovered the citizen is wanted by law for involvement in seven undisclosed crimes.

Meanwhile, police nabbed an Egyptian representative (mandoub) working at the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) for harassing a number of female employees, reports Al-Shahed daily. This came after one of the employees reported the harassment to the Operations Unit of the Interior Ministry.

The Egyptian is now in the custody of Farwaniya Police Station despite the intervention of an official in the Office of the Interior Minister.

And, police are looking for unidentified persons who broke into five barber shops in Abu Halifah within a day, carting away money and some items, reports Al-Anba daily.

On the other hand, a Kuwaiti woman lodged a complaint at Fintas Police Station saying a burglar stole KD 170 cash from her beauty salon. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits in both incidents.
