Wanted Filipina held; Manager caught bribing

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 24: Police have arrested a Filipina who was wanted by law in connection with 3 crimes — theft, fraud, and absconding from her employer, reports Al-Rai daily. The Filipina was caught past midnight. During interrogation she claimed her civil ID was with her sponsor and after checking her name on police computer, securitymen discovered she was wanted by law.

Maid forced to steal: Police have arrested an Indian man for luring a compatriot housemaid to steal from her sponsor’s home, reports Al-Rai daily. The housemaid in her complaint to the police said the suspect had threatened to kidnap her if she did not obey him. Police then set a trap for the man and told the maid to agree to meet him at a certain place with the loot and caught him red-handed.

Caught bribing: Police have caught the manager of an unidentified company for attempting to bribe a police lance corporal in return for releasing his friend who was arrested for violating residence law, reports Al-Shahed daily. A security source said the manager was caught red-handed while offering KD 750 to the man in uniform.
