Violations detected in Sulaibiya farms area

Officers from various departments are interviewed by the media at the premises

KUWAIT CITY, April 3: Some government institutions carried out an intensive inspection campaign in Sulaibiya Agriculture Area recently. In a press statement Tuesday, the Public Relations and Media Department at Kuwait Fire Service Directorate revealed that the Preservation Sector launched a joint inspection campaign in cooperation with the Environment Public Authority and Finance Ministry.

During the campaign, the inspectors checked several stores and establishments in the area, resulting in the discovery of various violations. Deputy Director General for Prevention Sector Major General Khaled Abdullah Fahad said they found dangerous materials in a building without a license and illegal structures built on State properties. He affirmed each of the governmental authorities involved in the campaign took the necessary action.

Meanwhile, acting on information, the Mina Abdullah firefighters rushed to an unidentified location in the area and put out fire to two containers and prevented the fire from reaching the nearby petrol station, reports Al-Anba daily. No casualties have been reported. Firemen are investigating the cause of the fire.
