Vaccinated people allowed to enter malls from 27th June

KUWAIT CITY, June 24: From Sunday 27th June, non-vaccinated people will be barred from entering large public spaces in Kuwait such as malls, restaurants, gyms and salons. This decision does not apply to owners of shops and restaurants who are not vaccinated. People who have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine are permitted to enter, they need to show their vaccination status on Immune or My Mobile ID app. Only those people whose vaccination status appear green and orange (which indicates having received one or two doses of vaccine) will be allowed to enter. Those whose status is showing red will be denied entry.

They explained that the COVID-19 Emergency Committee met on Thursday afternoon under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali. The agenda of the meeting included a number of important decisions in light of the developments in the epidemiological situation in the country, the high rate of COVID-19 infections, and the high rate of clinical occupancy in intensive care units.
