KUWAIT CITY, Dec 27: The Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality affirmed in a press release that the Department of Public Hygiene and Road Works carried out an extensive inspection campaign on used furniture market in Al-Rai.

The campaign began at 9 am and lasted until midday, resulting in confiscation of 56 square meters of used furniture. The campaign was led by the Director of Capital Municipality Eng. Bader Nasser Boraqba, who was accompanied by the Director of Department of Public Hygiene and Road Works Meshal Al-Azmi. In his statement, Al-Azmi affirmed that such inspection campaigns are ongoing, and that the inspectors are present in the used furniture market during the morning and evening hours. He stressed the need for shops to ensure they do not use the yard before being issued with necessary license from the department, insisting that the department will apply the law on everyone equally without any discrimination.
