Unified labor contract template endorsed

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 28: The Fatwa and Legislative Department has endorsed the unified labor contract template in a preliminary step toward its implementation in all labor departments in early 2016.

In a statement, acting Director General of Fatwa and Legislative Department Ahmad Musa said the new unified contract template guarantees the minimum rights of employees and their employers. He pointed to an item in the template allowing employers to add more conditions but the additional conditions will be binding as long as the employees agree to it. He said the new labor contract template will be available in all labor departments in the next few days.
