UAE detects 72 new infections; 13 detected in Qatar

ABU DHABI, March 27: The United Arab Emirates announced on Wednesday registering 72 new cases of persons infected with coronavirus increasing to 409 total number of such cases.
The ministry of health said in a statement that three patients recovered, thus the total figure of those who survived ailment with the germ reached 55.
Among those newly diagnosed as patients were citizens from Sri Lanka, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Iran, Comoros Island, China, Saudi Arabia, the Kyrgyz Republic, Serbia, Greece, Uruguay, Romania, Sweden, South Africa, Iraq and Yemen.
Among those infected were people from Nepal, Ethiopia, four from the UAE, in addition to five persons from Britain, Pakistan and Lebanon. Twenty-three patients were Indians.

Meanwhile Qatar detected 13 new confirmed cases of coronavirus on Friday, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 562 so far, state-run Qatar News Agency reported citing the health ministry.

“Ministry of Public Health announced today 13 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in Qatar, noting that some of them are related to travelers (who) came recently to Qatar and others to contacts. The new cases have been put into quarantine and receiving the necessary medical care,” QNA said in a tweet.
