Two women steal private cell data, blackmail friend

KUWAIT CITY, May 30: Two young women have been detained for interrogation for allegedly blackmailing their friend after stealing all data from her Smartphone including her secrets and her pictures and conversations, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, the suspects took advantage that the victim trusted them and did not believe that they would copy all data from her phone and then blackmail her.

The victim told the security authorities, that she was surprised when one of the suspects informed her that she had access to all her secrets stored in her Smartphone including private pictures and conversations and threatened to expose her in front of other friends.

The complainant told the securitymen one of the friends sent a link to her a week ago, and when she saw it, she closed the browser and did not pay much attention to the matter, until when she spoke to her in a rude manner and said she knows everything, and that she has access to all pictures and data saved in her phone. The source added the complainant has provided police with copies of conversation with the suspects and filed a complaint against them.
