Two Egyptians dead, 3 Kuwaitis hurt in accident

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 17 : Two Egyptians died and three other Kuwaitis were injured when their car overturned when they were on their way to Bubiyan Island, reports Al-Rai daily. Acting on information paramedics and police rushed to the spot and took the injured to the Jahra Hospital. The remains of the Egyptians have been referred to Forensics. Investigations are underway to know the cause of the accident.

Ruling quashed: The Court of Appeals has overturned the verdict of the Criminal Court which had fined preacher Othman Al-Khamees KD 20,000 for violating the national unity law, disdaining the Shiite doctrine and inciting the sectarianism on the YouTube, reports Al-Qabas daily. The Appeals Court verdict ruled the national unity law includes crimes which are committed by the Kuwaitis abroad.

Asian robbed: An unidentified Asian working for a restaurant for home delivery service department has filed a complaint with the Taima Police Station accusing two unknown people of threatening him with a knife and stealing his money (KD 150), reports Al-Anba daily. Police are looking for the suspects.

Liquor seized: Personnel from the Farwaniya Security Department have referred an unidentified Asian to General Department for Drugs and Alcohol Control for possessing 700 bottles of locally manufactured booze, reports Al-Anba daily. The suspect was arrested at an unidentified location. The daily quoting the police said the suspect at the time of arrest was under the influence of alcohol.
