Two cops in a car in the evening shift

KUWAIT CITY, July 19: The General Traffic Department (GTD) has begun implementing a new system for police patrols on duty in the evening shift. According to the new system all patrols leaving for duty in the evening shift must have two personnel, just like the Public Security Sector and the General Administration of Emergency.

A security source told the Al-Rai daily, the assistant undersecretary for the Traffic Sector, Jamal Al-Sayegh has issued instructions to all police patrols must comprise of a commander and his assistant while on highways patrols to make it easy for the patrolmen to deal with incidents and accidents and organize traffic, especially in the evening particularly in areas prone to recklessness and youth gatherings. The source explained according to the directives each patrolman can carry five live bullets and a service revolver, baton and stun gun for self defence if need by while confronting reckless persons
