Turkish lira slump is temporary, says head of National Popular Movement

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 18: Head of National Popular Movement Saoud Rashid Al-Hujailan says the fall in the value of Turkish lira to a record low is just a temporary “summer cloud” that will not continue, reports Al-Anba daily.

He stressed that Turkey will remain the “iron man that will not be defeated because of the strong will and wisdom of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan”. Al-Hujailan affirmed, “We have confidence in the Turkish president who pulled out Turkey from a difficult state of indebtedness and poverty to a state of prosperity. We know he will be able to help Turkey overcome this crisis”. He called on all Arab and Islamic countries to support Turkey and stand by it in order to improve its economy.
