Truth behind viral video showing gold bars ‘looted in Mali’

A mysterious video showing two white men opening and inspecting cases filled with stacks of gold bars has gone viral on social media since mid August. Various stories have been made from this video saying French soldiers in Mali stealing Malian gold, whereas some said it was Congolese gold, some said it was gold in Ghana confiscated on Accra airport.

The real story behind this video that it was filmed in Accra in Ghana somewhere in July, where authenticity of gold was conducted by potential buyers. The video was filmed by a middleman who wanted to show his client that the product had arrived and it is at its destination and was under inspection. Unfortunately sale wasn’t complete due to doubts in documents detailing the origin of the product.

It is still not clear from where the consignment came from neither it had any stamping/logo embossed on the gold metal bars
