WASHINGTON, Sept 27 (KUNA) — In one of the first readings of voter preferences after the initial presidential debate yesterday, Republican candidate Donald Trump is ahead by 3.5 points over rival Democrat Hillary Clinton, according to an LA Times poll.

Based on 2,690 respondents, as of Tuesday, September 27, the poll indicates 46.2 percent of voters will support Trump and 42.7 percent for Clinton.

The reading called “Daybreak,” tracks “3,000 eligible voters until election day, asking (participants) on a regular basis” who they would support, including third party options.

The data is updated “each day based on the weighted average of poll responses over the previous week,” said the publication.
