Trucker to be deported for dumping industrial waste close to a mosque

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 19:  Public Relations and Security Media Department in the Ministry of Interior has issued an explanatory statement on a video clip circulated via social media, which shows a tanker driver dumping industrial waste close to a mosque in Mina Abdullah Area. Statement affirmed that Environmental Investigation Unit at the Environmental Police Department conducted investigation and collected necessary information to facilitate arrest of the driver upon receiving the report.

Consequently, the driver was arrested and taken to concerned authorities for deportation. Legal measures have since been taken against the company.

The Environmental Police stressed that security campaigns are ongoing to arrest environmental violators in the country, noting all communication channels are open for citizens and expatriates to report any violations related to environment.
