Travel agencies issued decision ‘Do not to change or modify prices of air tickets’

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 6: The Directorate- General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a decision which obliges all travel agencies which are authorized to sell tickets on behalf of airlines, not to change or modify the prices they advertise in line with the prices announced by the companies, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The decision, a copy of which has been obtained by the daily, cannot in any way be less than the price of a flight ticket than the price announced by the parent company including the conditions which should remain the same.

The official stressed on the need to address all airlines and travel and tourism offices in Kuwait to complete the issuance of tickets in the same way as determined and described by companies.

The decision added that any office that violates the instructions will be referred to the Complaints and Arbitration Committee in accordance with the provisions of Article 21 of Decree Law No. 31 of 1987.
