Traffic crackdown targeting reckless drivers and violators of traffic law

KUWAIT CITY, July 1: The Operations Unit of General Traffic Department launched a number of traffic campaigns targeting reckless drivers and violators of traffic law for the second consecutive day during which they issued 25 citations, arrested 21 violators of traffic law and seized their vehicles, and discovered three vehicles that are wanted by law, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the Public Relations and Security Media Department of the ministry explained that the traffic campaigns were held on Thursday from 8 pm to 5 am on Arabian Gulf Street, Second Ring Road, Damascus Street, Maghreb Street, Ibrahim Al- Mizyen Road and Jahra Road. A total of 23 civilian patrol officers, 12 military patrol officers and 84 traffic officers participated in the campaigns. The department affirmed that such traffic campaigns will be organized on the main and internal roads to arrest the violators of law and reckless drivers.
