Three Kuwaitis die on Salmi Road; Indian run over, dead

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 26: Traffic was brought to a standstill when three Kuwaitis died after their vehicle toppled on the Salmi Motorway. The remains were deposited to Forensics for autopsy.

A security source said a team of rescue men was dispatched to the scene after the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry had been notified about the incident. Upon arrival, firemen managed to remove the driver from the wreckage alongside two Kuwaitis.

The citizens succumbed to various degrees of injuries on the spot and the driver later died in ICU. The wreckage was removed from the road and traffic was restored. Meanwhile, an Indian expatriate was hit and killed by the driver of a public transport while he was trying cross a road in Jleeb Shuyoukh area.

Necessary legal action was taken against the driver who claimed the victim appeared on the road suddenly and that he couldn’t help hitting him. And, military man serving in Defense Ministry sustained injuries in different parts of his body in a traffic accident on Abdali Motorway. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Jahra Hospital.
