Three Kuwaitis caught hunting birds – Wanted citizen held in Mahboula

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 31: Three Kuwaiti citizens were arrested for hunting birds in Judailiyat area using hunting rifles. According to security sources, environment police arrested the suspects while patrolling Judailiyat area based on instructions from Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah. The suspects were referred with the hunting rifles to the concerned authorities for further investigations.

Meanwhile, fire broke out in the basement of a nine-storied building in Farwaniya area. No casualties were reported. According to sources, when the Control Room of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) received information about the basement of area 1,000 square meters on fire, firefighters rushed to the location, evacuated all tenants from the building and extinguished the fire within a short time. Investigations revealed that the basement was used to store wood and inflammable materials.

Wanted man held: A Kuwaiti citizen who is wanted by law for execution of a judicial sentence of four-year imprisonment was arrested in Mahboula area. According to security sources, Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling Mahboula area when they noticed a man walking. They stopped him and checked his details to discover he is a Kuwaiti citizen who was sentenced to fouryear imprisonment over a drug case. They referred him to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
