School certs fraud
The Office of the General Prosecutor is investigating three cases involving falsification of government secondary school certificates in which 120 people, including four students, officers and three lawyers, a general practitioner working in the government are involved, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting a source familiar with the case. The source added the defendants have graduated from foreign universities many years ago on the strength of forged high school certificates and are now employed by many government institutions or the private sector. The source explained the main reason for the delay in referral of their cases to the court is due to the delay in correspondence between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to ensure the authenticity of the certificates. The source added if those involved are found guilty, they will be asked to return all the salaries they received from the state and will have to pay double the money in fine and will be jailed upon a verdict issued by the court.
