Ten expats for deportation – Maid steals cash, jewelry

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 4: Ahmadi police arrested eight expatriates for violating the Labor Law as they were found to be working for employers who are not their sponsors, reports Al-Anba daily. Hawally police also arrested two Asians for the same reason. These 10 expatriates were referred to the concerned security department as a preliminary step towards their deportation.

Maid steals cash: A Kuwaiti woman lodged a complaint at Jahra Police Station against her housemaid who allegedly escaped with jewelry worth KD 2,000 and KD 500 cash, reports Al-Rai daily. The complainant disclosed she found her bedroom in a messy condition when she returned home. She then checked the contents of the room and discovered that her jewelry and money were missing. A case was registered and police are now looking for the housemaid.

Held with drugs: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested in Jahra area for consuming and possessing drugs, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to security sources, Jahra securitymen were on patrol duty when they suspected the citizen who was in a disoriented state, and checked him to find methamphetamine in his possession. He was arrested and referred with the drugs to the Drugs Control General Department for investigations.
