Syrian toddler run over in co-op parking dies

KUWAIT CITY, July 7: A two-year old Syrian toddler died after he was hit by a vehicle driven by an Asian expatriate in the parking area of Sulaibikhat Cooperative Society. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the incident, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location and discovered that the child had died. His corpse was referred to the Forensics Department, and the motorist was arrested. When questioned, the motorist said he did not see the child. A case was registered.
Meanwhile, an Asian expatriate sustained injuries when the water tanker he was driving toppled in Doha area. When the Control Room of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) received information about the accident, firefighters rushed to the location with securitymen and paramedics. They pulled out the victim who was trapped inside the toppled tanker, and paramedics referred him to Sabah Hospital for treatment.
