Syrian robs his compatriot

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 14: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested a Syrian for breaking into the home of a compatriot and stealing KD 1,000, reports Al-Anba daily.
The arrest came after the victim filed a complaint with the police accusing an unidentified burglar of stealing money from his home. When personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department lifted fingerprints from the scene of the crime, the prints matched those of the suspect.
During interrogation the man admitted to the charge and said he spent the money to buy drugs. It has also been reported the suspect is wanted by law in connection with financial claims. Moreover, he has been staying in the country illegally since October 2018.
