Syrian nabbed for swindling girls in wedding pledge

KUWAIT CITY, July 9: The Mubarak Al- Kabir police have arrested a 42-yearold Syrian for swindling girls after promising to marry them and disappearing after taking their money, reports Al-Anba daily.

After several young women filed complaints with the police, investigations revealed the swindler had been sentenced in absentia to 10 years imprisonment. Armed with a search and arrest warrant police then raided the home of the suspect and caught him on the roof of the building. He has been handed over to the authorities.

Farmhouse looted: A Kuwaiti citizen accused an Asian employee of his farm of stealing tents and some camping equipment and disappearing, says Al-Seyassah. According to security sources, the citizen went to Qashaniya Police Station and informed securitymen that his employee stole seven tents, six toilet seats, three televisions, some electronic devices and 60 hens from his farm in Abdali area.
