Syrian arrested for impersonating police – Mom reports drunk son

KUWAIT CITY, June 30: The Ahmadi police have arrested an unidentified 32-year-old Syrian for impersonating police, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources, the suspect was caught using the blue flasher light on his car, which reportedly belongs to his Kuwaiti friend (not an employee of the Interior Ministry). When the suspect was caught red-handed, police asked him for his ID and the latter said he was using the flasher light to avoid traffic jams. He has been handed over to the State Security police

Mom reports drunk son: When a Kuwaiti woman filed a complaint with the Salwa Police Station accusing her son of consuming alcohol and making problems in the house police rushed to the house and arrested the drunkard, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily quoting security sources said the ‘suspect’ resisted arrest and insulted securitymen. A case of consuming alcohol and insulting an official while on duty has been registered against him at the police station.
