Suspects flee after stabbing to death youth in road brawl

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 20: In a heinous crime witnessed on the Seventh Ring Road, a 20-year old Bedoun youth was murdered and his companion sustained stab wounds. The perpetrators fled to Saudi Arabia after the incident. Security sources said the victims were driving on Seventh Ring Road when suddenly another motorist intercepted and forced them to pull up.

Two people alighted from the vehicle and confronted the victims and accused them of blocking the road and then stabbed them with knives, and fled the scene. Upon arrival of the rescue team, security sources indicated the victims were drenched in blood, and paramedics confirmed the Bedoun had lost his life after examining them.

They pointed out that the father of the first culprit called security officers in Jahra police station and reported his son had murdered someone and fled to Saudi Arabia.

In the meantime, concerned security authorities in Kuwait have addressed their Saudi counterparts to repatriate the culprits to Kuwait to facilitate investigations and allow the law to take its course. The remains of the deceased were deposited to Forensics while the injured person was referred to a hospital for treatment.
