Surprise campaign

KUWAIT CITY, June 12: Director General of the Security General Department for Weapons Collection in the Interior Ministry Brigadier Abdulrahman Al-Sehail supervised a surprise inspection campaign in Jaber Al-Ahmad and Doha areas in Jahra Governorate, in coordination with the General Traffic Department (GTD), Public Security Sector and Rescue Police General Department.

In a press statement, the Public Relations and Security Media Department disclosed the officers closed the exit and entry points in the abovementioned areas where the surprise inspection campaign was conducted.

The campaign resulted in the arrest of six persons wanted by law for involvement in various cases and another person wanted by law for evading a five-year imprisonment sentence in a drug-related case.

The Public Relations and Security Media Department also urged citizens and expatriates to contact emergency number 112 or hotline 1888830 to report any person suspected of possessing unlicensed weapons in order to guarantee the safety of everyone.
