Student ‘crash’ death consoled

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 25, (KUNA): The Minister of Education and Higher Education expressed his commiserations over the loss of Kuwaiti teenager Abdulaziz Al-Rumaih, who passed away after a car accident in the US while completing his college degree on a government grant.

News of the passing reached the ministry on Sunday and came after Al-Rumaih had succumbed to injuries resulting from the November collision, Minister Hamed Al-Azmi said in a statement.

Kuwaiti Cultural Bureau officials had been in constant contact with US authorities and the hospital treating the youngster, who had undergone several operations. Procedures are now being finalised to transport him to Kuwait, where he will be laid to rest, said the minister.
