KUWAIT CITY, April 8: Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers, announced the conclusion of its sponsorship of the second Ramadan Al Qabas Padel Tournament for the year 2023Which was held from March 28 to April 5 at Padel Time courts at Al-Ardhia area. stc sponsored and participated in the tournament as part of its “Generosity in your hands” campaign, which aims to spread a positive and lasting impact in the community.

In a statement, stc emphasized the impressive turnout observed during the tournament, with large crowds gathering daily to watch the numerous participating teams compete for the championship title. A total of 400 teams and 800 male and female players as well as families with their children participated in the Al Qabas Padel tournament, the largest of its kind in Ramadan. It worth mentioning that tournament lasted for nine continuous days and witnessed strong competition in 9 different categories for men and women, in addition to the family category that was introduced in the current year’s championship.

The victorious team had the opportunity to play an exhibition match against the Argentinian professional padel player, Fernando Belasteguin, during the closing ceremony which witnessed special activities for the audience as well. stc mentioned that the tournament was a positive reflection of some of the core values behind its Ramadan campaign. The tournament also united community members as they supported their favorite teams and players in one of Kuwait’s most popular sports.
