Sri Lankan man held for consuming liquor

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 15: A 56-year-old Sri Lankan was detained at Jabriya Police Station for liquor consumption after he was arrested when he entered a Husseiniya under the influence of alcohol, reports Al-Anba daily. Meanwhile, police registered a case against a Kuwaiti man born in 1995 for damaging the properties of others and a public property while driving in a disoriented condition. The officers promptly moved to the location when they received information that the suspect was driving recklessly, to the extent of crashing into four other cars in Qairawan and a tree.

Syrian attacked by compatriots: A Syrian expatriate sustained injuries and fractures when he was attacked by four compatriots at an open space in Khaitan area, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources, the victim’s friend had invited him to the location where he met three other unknown individuals who were waiting for him.

They heavily beat him and then fl ed from the scene. The fingers on the victim’s hands were broken and he sustained other injuries. After receiving treatment from a hospital and obtaining a medical report, the victim went to a nearby police station and lodged a complaint. Securitymen have launched investigations to fi nd and arrest the suspects.
