KUWAIT CITY, Aug 15: Two Sri Lankan men were arrested in Farwaniya area for trading locally made and imported liquor, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to a security source, Farwaniya securitymen were on routine patrol in the area when they suspected two Asian expatriates who parked their cars in a dark open ground. They ran as soon as they noticed the patrol vehicle but securitymen chased and seized them.

The source said it appeared as though the two men were making a deal because securitymen found 237 bottles of locally manufactured liquor in one of the cars and 35 bottles of imported liquor in the other. One of the two suspects was referred to the Residency Affairs Investigation Department as he was found to be in violation of the residency law.
