Some Egyptians unable to pay fines couldn’t leave

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 27: Security sources at Kuwait International Airport stated that around 80 Egyptian nationals leaving on EgyptAir could not travel due to fines imposed on them.

397 Egyptians were supposed to leave on the flight that left Kuwait to Cairo a little while ago but because of fines specially those who entered the country with a family, business, and tourist visit visas failed to travel due to the lack of sufficient funds to pay for fines hence they could not travel despite of having valid ticket. Total of 308 Egyptians left from which some of them who had to pay fines paid at airport passport office to take advantage of the evacuation flight.

The sources stated to Al Rai that the Egyptian expats on the upcoming and scheduled flights on Saturday, Sunday and Monday will face the same problem if fines are not paid. The decision to exempt from the fine issued by the Minister of the Interior comes into force from 1st April until April 30.
