Soccer Academy ‘Mubaratuna’ to absorb young players

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 26, (KUNA): The launching of a soccer academy named “Mubaratuna” where the skills and talents of the young and eager Kuwaitis will be honed has been applauded by some officials. The academy receives now youngsters interested in soccer, aged 10 through 15 and later those aged 6 through 9, said assistant undersecretary for youth development at the ministry of state for youth affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi at a press conference held at the Kuwait National Library.

Opening for registration today for the first time, this academy for soccer will be a wonderful place for youngster to invest their spare time in pursuing something useful and healthy to them, he said, stressing that more such academies were in the offing for the near future in different parts of the country so youngsters everywhere could enjoy playing soccer.

The academy is a joint accomplishment of the ministry of youth affairs, the ministry of education, the public authority for sports, and the Al-Huttain coop. society, he said. Entry fees to the academy have been kept low within reach of all families sending their children to it. The official instruction and training at the academy will be early in February, he said.
