Six rescued in bachelors home fire

KUWAIT CITY, July 7: Six individuals were rescued from a burning house in Khaitan area. Timely arrival of the firefighters played a huge role in avoiding a human tragedy.
According to sources, when the Control Room of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) received information about a bachelor accommodation on fire, firefighters rushed to the location to discover heavy smoke emanating from the burning house inside which six individuals were trapped. Firefighters rescued the victims and extinguished the fire before it spread to nearby buildings.
Investigations have been launched to determine the cause of the fire. Meanwhile, fire broke out in a perfume shop in Jahra area. No casualties were reported but material losses had incurred. When the Control Room of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) received information about the perfume shop on fire, four firefighting teams headed by Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Al- Mehaini and Lieutenant Colonel Tareq Al-Hattab rushed to the location. They managed to extinguish the fire before it spread further. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
