Six for deportation

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 17: Personnel from the Residence Affairs Department recently raided three locations and arrested six Asians for stealing telephone lines and offering illegal overseas call services, reports Annahar daily. Police have confiscated computers and communication devices from the illegal service providers and referred them to the authorities prior to deporting them from the country.

Fleeing with foodstuff: An Iraqi expatriate was arrested at Abdali border checkpoint for attempting to leave the country with subsidized foodstuffs, reports Al-Anba daily.

Hunt for thieves: Police are looking for two thieves — one of them armed with a cleaver — for robbing two grocers in Fintas in just one hour, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said according to a complaint filed by an Indian grocer in Fintas the men robbed him of KD 500 and within one hour, another grocer complained about the theft of KD 150 in a similar manner.
