‘Shun terrorism, return home’ – ‘Surrender, face courts’

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 1: Director of the Center for Moderation Abdullah Al-Sharikah has sent a message to the Kuwaiti youth who join radical groups outside the country, especially in Syria and Iraq, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, according to the message the director has urged them to quickly abandon their weapons, shun terrorist groups, return to Kuwait and surrender to the authorities and face the impartial judiciary. Al-Sharikah told the Al-Anba daily the message was through the social media.

This comes within the efforts of the Center to counter the extremist and deviant ideas. He pointed out, the Ministry of the Interior as a member of the Higher Committee for Moderation works in coordination with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

No to changes: The Ministry of Electricity and Water said it will not tolerate any violation particularly with respect to the cables or extensions that have been approved according to the plans submitted to the ministry by owners of private or investment houses, reports Al-Anba daily quoting reliable ministry sources.

The sources said serious violations in this regard have come to light where the owner of the plot adds or transfers or modifies the extensions, which endangers the lives of the residents of the building. The sources said if the owner of the plot wishes to make any additions or modification prior approval from the ministry must be approved. In case of violation, the ministry has the right to cut off the power supply without prior warning and can also take other measures such as transferring the file to the Prosecution, the sources added.
