Sheikha’s Indian driver caught for liquor trafficking

KUWAIT CITY, June 19: Police have arrested an unidentified Indian driver working for a Sheikha for trading in locally manufactured booze, reports Al-Rai daily.

A security source said patrolmen on duty in Salmiya ordered the man to pull over for reckless driving. However, the driver riding a SUV ignored police orders, swerved at the police vehicle in a bid to escape but was cornered and forced to pull over.

Police then searched the man’s vehicle and seized 77 bottles of local booze from the Jeep and referred the driver to the Salmiya Police Station.
