KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: Ministry of Education has announced exemption of all service executors from the fingerprint attendance system, such that register will be used to record resumption and departure. Their direct supervisors will be monitoring them after reassigning them to schools and nurseries, reports Al-Anba daily.

This information was contained in a letter sent by the Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs Fahad Al-Ghais to the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education. He based the letter on a meeting held on Sept 5, 2016 between officials from the Human Resources Department and General Services Department concerning coordination over assigning service executors to the General Services Department at Farwaniya Educational Zone.

Al-Ghais said the mass transfer of service executors to the General Services Department in all educational areas except Farwaniya Educational Zone and the mass transfer of service executors from schools and nurseries to the General Services Department in Farwaniya Educational Area were agreed on during the meeting.

He stressed the need for the procedures of transfer to be comprehensive because those concerned observe periodic vacation different from what is obtainable with staff of schools due to which the Holidays and Duties Department in that area should follow up their holidays based on that system.

In other news, Assistant Undersecretary for Higher Education in the Ministry of Higher Education Fatima Al-Sinan said the equivalence of certificates should not be delayed, stressing that students who are late in getting their equivalent certificates will violate regulations and this necessitates presenting their case to the Committee for Equivalence of Academic Certificates which meets every month, reports Al-Rai daily.

In a press statement, Al-Sinan affirmed the ministry is exerting tremendous efforts to speed up the equivalence of certificates and preparations are underway to lay down regulations for equivalence of academic certificate in order to expedite the process. She added the Academic Certificates Equivalence Department carries out the process not only for citizens but also for expatriates.
