Securitymen nab 4 people for drugs, alcohol, financial cases

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 2: Officers from Capital Security Command continued their security operations throughout the weekend and arrested four people in possession of narcotic pills and other intoxicants. Among those arrested was an individual wanted for financial related offense. According to security sources, police arrested an Indian in his mid-30s in possession of alcohol in Bneid Al Gar area. On the Gulf Street, a Bedoun man was arrested in possession of a piece of hashish. Further inquiry about the suspect showed he was absconding six months sentence for a related offense.

Meanwhile, officers in Surra area arrested a Palestinian national with the narcotic substance ‘’Spice”. The man is also involved in KD 4,621 case. Also, a Bedoun was nabbed in Shuwaikh area in a financial case involving KD 3,190. All of the suspects arrested were referred to concerned authorities for necessary security measures. Meanwhile, officers from Security Patrol Unit affiliated to the Operations Sector of General Traffic Department embarked on an impromptu traffic campaign on the Second Ring Road, Arabian Gulf Road and South Surra respectively and impounded 2 cars used for racing and betting, 10 motorbikes and 3 jeeps, placed two people in detention and another person in the juveniles cell.

Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General AbdulFattah Al-Ali conducted a tour of various areas to ensure the New Year’s celebrations went smoothly without disturbing the security order. In Mubarakiya Hospital, Major General Al-Ali was accompanied by Director of Capital Security Major General Ibrahim Al- Tarrah, Director of Jahra Security Colonel Waleed Shehab, Hawalli Security Director Major General Shehab Al-Shemmeri, Farwaniya Director Brigadier Abdullah Al- Ajmi, Security Director of Mubarak Al- Kabeer Brigadier Saleh Al-Enezi, and Brigadier Abdullah Saffah from Ahmadi.
