Security beefed up on New Years Eve in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY , Dec 30:  The Ministry of Interior is preparing a comprehensive plan to administer various locations by assigning 850 patrols around Kuwait to deal with any violations during new years eve. The Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Operations and Traffic Sector, Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, said in a statement that the ministry has the ability to deal with all reports and are prepared with patrols throughout the country to protect citizens and expats and to arrest all hooligans, reports Al Rai. Security presence will be on alert at  Malls, chalets, farms, stables, desert areas and camps to deter troublemakers. 

In dealing with emergency situations during rains, Al Sayegh stated that we have a complete plan to attend to accidents and reckless driving.  Besides this security personnel will be monitoring the roads through control room and operation room to follow up with any traffic jams or accidents. 

Anyone who violates rules and regulations or who disturbs people and blocks roads will be firmly dealt with. Their vehicles will be impounded and violations will be issued against them. Those who endanger others’ lives on the road will be shown zero tolerance.
