Scorpions sting Shuttle Dragons for title – Thanjai Ninjas finish second runners-up in playoffs

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 3: In the September playoff of the Kuwait Danish Dairy (KDD)/Kuwait Badminton League 2016 the Scorpions stole the show by beating the spirited Shuttle Dragons.

The second runners-up were the Thanjai Ninjas. The playoffs organized by the Indian Badminton Association of Kuwait (IBAK), an affiliate of the Kuwait Badminton Federation featured top international players from India and the GCC countries in which a total of 102 players took part.

In the final the Scorpions-Shuttle Dragons match it was a one-sided affair. The September playoff was inaugurated by Subramoniam, VP, Business integration, KDD in the presence of Dr Manimara Chozhan, chairman IBAK and Chandrahas KT, General Secretary IBAK.

The organizers presented special mementos to four overseas players as a token of gratitude for their participation in the playoffs. The mementos were distributed by Chandrahas KT. The prizes to the winners were distributed by the IBAK committee members.
